Background

UPITT wanted to create a portal experience for their football team and fans to run through on their way to a game, or afterwards. The team shares Acrisure Stadium with the Steelers, so the intervention needed to be flexible enough to be installed in the morning and taken down in the evening, but also seem like a permanent and stable
structure.

We decided to use trusses in a double gothic arch shape, inspired by Pitt’s Cathedral of Learning. Using the brand colors, patterns, and makrs, we created a branded installation along the path to the stadium for players and fans.
