This is my design for the play The Last Days of Judas Iscariot. The play is a comedic take on Judas' betrayal in the form of a modern-day trial, featuring figures such as Satan and Mother Teresa. It takes us through Judas' journey, from the depths of hell to a courtroom in purgatory until he meets his fate.
The play deals with faith, humanity, and forgiveness. I chose to represent these with the 30 silver coins given to Judas to betray Jesus. The sporadic motion of the coins shows Judas' desperation and the power imbalance, and it plays on the theme of forgiveness.
